In Florida, there’s a new law on the books regarding street racing. The newly-signed law increases fines, jail time, and can take away offenders’ driver licenses. The fine was doubled to $2,000 for a first-time offender, along with a one-year loss of license. Charges can include fines of up to $4,000 as a third-degree felony, along with a 2-year loss of license for a second offense within a year.
