Mardy Price WiLD 94.1’s Next Up 2021 Winner

Congratulations to our NEXT UP winner, Mardy Price!

WiLD 94.1 and 1.800.ASKGARY went on a mission to discover and showcase local artists in Tampa Bay. We launched a six round bracket challenge with 64 local musicians that entered to be crowned, NEXT UP! 

Mardy Price has won a free mentorship session with Cool and Dre’s Grammy Winning team of producers at The Record Room in Miami. He will also receive a $1000.00 Visa Gift card to take care of the hotel and any incidentals while he is in Miami. That’s not all, Mardy will also receive a recording session provided by Bach to Rock and the opportunity to perform on stage for WiLD 94.1 on an upcoming show/event.

  • About Mardy Price:

    Mardy Price was born in Albany, GA and grew up in central Florida. He has written and produced many independent records.

    Mardy says, “My goals are to release good R&B Music and help pave the way for our youth to have opportunities that wasn’t there for me growing up in central Florida.” He recently dropped a single “Where My Check” ft. Lil Boosie Badazz. The duo dropped this banger amidst the current social climate with the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial crisis that followed; so everyone who listens can identify with this track.

    Rapping about extended wait times for stimulus checks is not only something that fans can relate to, but is also fun and comical to cut tension and lighten the atmosphere across the nation. After Mardy heard the beat, he laid down his verses and sent the track to Lil Boosie. Infamous for securing his bag by any means, Boosie immediately laid down his bars and finalized the administrative work to release the single. Of course he zoomed through that and the single was published within an hour!
