After reading the 200 greatest singers list, we felt it was only right to showcase the singers that Rolling Stone missed. There are only 200 slots so we can’t have all artists. In addition, in starts in 1930’s with blues musician and singer Robert Johnson. 93 years is a lot of ground to cover. Rolling Stone, like most longstanding establishments, mailed it in and missed too many. We feel Burna Boy, Alicia Keys, El Debarge, and Ozzy all gotta go. Awesome artists but again we’re talking GREATEST. Here are the singers that Rolling Stone missed.
Now this list isn’t best songs, best tour or most awards, it’s a singers list, so these may sting. No one loves Aaliyah more than I do, but she can’t be in the top 200. Taylor Swift is one of the best talents, in the industry, but greatest? Not many would say that. Pictured above, at the Wakanda Forever premiere, Rihanna provided a huge moment with the movie’s “Lift Me Up”. Written by Tems, who has an incredible voice herself. The song is wrought with emotion but Riri’s singing voice alone was not the draw. The Weeknd and Courtney Love have lots of talent, but never should be listed as the greatest either. Now that you’re mad, wanna see our list?
