Reports tell us that on Sunday, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services announced that consumers could have bought gas that was contaminated with diesel gas. The contamination apparently affected gas purchases after 10 A.M. on Saturday, August 26. If you’re wondering where the contamination mistake took place, it happened at the Port of Tampa.
This is scary because diesel fuel will have a negative affect on a car’s engine. Also this contamination happened at a very bad time. People are getting gas and preparing for Tropical storm idalia. The gas stations are already packed but adding this disaster to the mix just makes it much worst.
