Orlando & The Freakshow

Ever notice drinking at the airport is getting more expensive? If you’re on vacation it might not bother you to buy an expensive drink. But when you are buying several it can add up quickly. Especially, when you’re waiting on your plane or it’s been delayed. The DailyMail compiled a list of the most expensive beers in America according to a study by Finance Buzz. So, before you travel next, check out how expensive your beer is going to be.

Which Airports Have The Most Expensive Beer In America:

When popping open that next beer just know that most travelers are expected to pay more than three times! On average, ordering a Budweiser or Bud Light on draft costs $12.33 at LaGuardia Airport in New York. Making it the most expensive in the country. Now, if you’re traveling to Tampa International airport it’ll cost you an average of $6.33 for the same beer. Also, Portland International is the most affordable costing just $4.33. The average price of a beer, as you travel across the country is $7.42 in America.

Most companies charge a lot more at the airport for food and beverages because you’re stuck behind security. There’s nothing you can do because you don’t have many options to find a cheaper drink which is defined as a ‘captive market’ for vendors. Sometimes the expensive things you buy in the airport don’t bother you as much. But when you need to buy them all the time it gets annoying and overly expensive.
