Siesta Key is only an hour from where I live in St. Petersburg and the water is beautiful. If it was available for rent, Im sure it would be super hard to get a reservation. Also it’s not private but it would be cool if it was. If you don’t mind traveling, you will appreciate this list. Even though these private islands are not in Florida, they are still in the United States.
Have You Ever Vacationed On A Private Island?
I have vacationed on many islands but not private ones. It’s something that I would like to do after seeing a list like this. The price of renting out some of these private islands is equivalent to staying at a nice hotel. I would rather pay for a private island because at least it is just you and your special guest. You don’t have to worry about the hotel being over crowded. Also saying you rented out a private Island makes for a better vacation story. We live in an Instagram era, and the pictures would be everything.

There is one on this list that I want to check out this summer. There is a private island on this list that is in Georgia. My mom lives up there and I want to take her somewhere for her birthday. Eagle Island
Eagle Island is located in Georgia! According to the budget rental website, you can get a 1500-sq-ft house with wrap-around screened porch, hot tub, and wood-burning fireplace all for $475 per night. This also includes access to the entire private island!
Republic Island
Republic Island is in Michigan! Im from there but have never heard of this island. You can rent out this island for as low $106 per night. This island has a three-bedroom cedar log cabin that was built in the 1800s. A boat is included with this rental.
Poulsbo
Poulsbo is located in Washington and you cant rent this private island out for $304 a night. The Islands main house sleeps up to 8 people. If you stay more than 4 nights another cabin will be made available for you and your guest so you can spread out even more.
Gloucester
Gloucester is located in Rhode Island. There is a cabin on this island that sleeps up to 11 people. If you have a 11 people in your group each person only has to pay $31 per night. This island has beautiful sandy beaches! Also operates naturally with a wood0burning stove, solar lights, firepit and a gas grill.
Douglas
There is an private island in Douglas State Forest which is located in Massachusetts. Dodd Island sleeps 8 people which would cost $34 per person. If you love snorkeling and diving, this is the Island for you.
