According to Culturetrip.com, these are some of the best Florida restaurants in 2022! I love this list, especially since one of the restaurants is right here in Tampa. In Florida, we have great weather all year round, so many of these locations have outside seating with great views. The one in Tampa I have eaten at but I can’t wait to travel to other parts of the state to eat at the other locations. Culture Trip says these are restaurants we must visit. Below are the restaurants in no particular order.

  • Columbia

    The Colombia is a staple here in the Tampa Bay Area.  With roots dating back to 1905, the restaurant was founded by Casimiro Hernandez and is currently run by the 4th and 5th generation of his family. It has Century-old Spanish recipes such as Valencia paella and filet mignon. The also have entertainment such as the nightly flamenco dance performance. If you visit their gift store, you can purchase hand-rolled Cuban cigars, sangria mix and coffee.

  • The Circle at The Breakers

    If you love Sunday Brunch you are going to love The Circle. This lovely restaurant is located inside Palm Beach Island’s most exclusive hotel, The Breakers. The have a large buffet of hot and cold items. The also have an awesome  à la carte menu. Endless Mimosas and bloody Marys can be purchased from 11.00am to 1.00pm. The circle offers a great ocean view, and  Live classical music fills the air.

  • HogNose Snapper

    The HogNose Snapper is the highest-rated restaurant in Panama City Beach.  The reason is because its in a tourist den city and they offer  great surf-and-turf menu with a casual atmosphere many can enjoy. The restaurant is very bright  with a cozy feeling. Seats 150 people and has a Southern charm. Their Southern-style grouper sandwich, fried green tomatoes and cheese grits is a must have. 

     

  • The Conch Republic Seafood Company

     The Conch Republic Seafood Company  is located on a historical dock in The Key West Bight district.  Inside the restaurant features saltwater aquariums filled with native Florida invertebrates, which can be found offshore. The menu serves fresh produce in signature dishes such as fried calamari and conch fritters .  Must-try menu items include the lobster tail, tempura-battered cracked conch and stuffed shrimp.

     

  • Ragtime Tavern

    Ragtime Tavern is located on Atlantic Beach and many love the live music they offer. Ragtime Tavern has Cajun, fresh seafood, chicken and pasta dinner menu items. They have spent over 25 years perfecting its drafts of Dolphin’s Breath Lager and Red Brick Ale for beer patrons. They have a creative and fresh menu features a New York strip steak,  a spicy and buttery Louisiana crawfish boil and tuna gyro. The Tavern prides itself on serving only the freshest and in-season ingredients.

     

  • Versailles Cuban Restaurant

    Versailles first opened its doors in 1971 and became one of Miami’s premier Latin restaurants. It is located in the heart of Little Havana on Calle Ocho, Versailles. Many locals and tourist visit this Cuban restaurant. It has become an iconic establishment still tethered to its Cuban roots. The menu consists of  treats such as chicken fricasse, vaca fritta, cuban sandwiches and coffees. 

     

     

  • Gettin’ Crabby At The Stern House

    Gettin’ Crabby At Stern House has a great but laid back  atmosphere with live music on Thursday and Friday night. This crab shack offers big portions of crab legs that are cracked and ingested as soon as they’re served. Paper cloth covers the tables shared with tin buckets for the remains. People who have been say try the crabby platter, which consists of snow crab and Alaskan king crabs.  Be sure to set a reservation before going.

  • The Floridian

    The Floridian is located in St. Augustine and has authentic cuisine for lunch and dinner. The Floridian uses fresh ingredients straight from the source. The ingredients include a mixture of Southern comfort entrees mixed with lighter, healthier dishes. The restaurant also offers plenty of  vegan options and use local  produced products and produce. The restaurant does not take reservations, except around the holidays. If you visit this restaurant, make sure you order the pickled pepper shrimps, fried green tomato bruschetta, and shrimp and sausage pilau.

  • The District Miami

    The District Miami is located on restaurant row in the up-and-coming Buena Vista design district. Partner and Executive Chef Horacio Rivadero, was named one of the Best New Chefs in the Gulf Region by Food and Wine Magazine. He created the menu by combining Pan-American flavors with local ingredients. When dining at The District Miami, start with their freshly baked cheese bread, before proceeding  popular dishes like lobster malanga tacos, tuna tartar or cobia and corvina ceviches. The creative side dishes offered are a sweet honey truffle yucca mash, a chipotle mayo yellow sweet corn and seasonal okra with pickled peaches.
