Here’s a list of our favorite moments from Kendrick Lamar’s Big Stepper Tour at Amalie Arena. Kendrick Lamar made his return to Tampa for the first time in five years last night. We’re still reliving all the awesome parts of the show. The 25-song show featured mostly his newer songs from his latest album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, but also payed tribute to classics from Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City and DAMN. The only songs we got to hear off of the iconic To Pimp A Butterfly album were Alright and King Kunta.

People piled in and started to get hype from Baby Keem’s opening set. The crowd went wild during Range Brothers when K. Dot’s “Top o’ the mornin” line kicks in. But everyone would have to wait for the duo to perform together towards the end of Kendrick’s set with “Family Ties.”

Before the big show, we took a peak at the merch table and showed some love to a lucky listener who got some free merch from Joey Franchize.

Kendrick’s set did not disappoint. He was rocking a Michael Jackson vibe with a glittery glove and suit.  The show was full of engaging visuals, providing an immersive experience that builds on the themes he set in his new album.

The show was incredible and left us wanting more. Hopefully it won’t be another five years before he graces Tampa with his presence again.
