There is no shame in getting tested. I feel there is power in knowing your status and making sure you parter knows theirs as well. Last year I partnered with the Pinellas County Health department in St. Petersburg. There was so much information I learned including their locations where you can get tested for free. Speaking of getting tested, have you gotten one this year?

World Population Review has come out with their list of states with the highest HIV Rates in 2023. I can’t say Im shocked seeing that Florida is on this list. Where it ranks is not a shocker either sadly. According to HIV.com, “HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks cells that help the body fight infection, making a person more vulnerable to other infections and diseases. It is spread by contact with certain bodily fluids of a person with HIV, most commonly during unprotected sex (sex without a condom or HIV medicine to prevent or treat HIV), or through sharing injection drug equipment.”
