St. Petersburg Native Makes History

Congratulations to Angela Bassett! She is the first Marvel actor to ever be nominated for an Oscar.  Her role as Ramonda in Black Panther has gotten her a nomination for Best supporting actress. You may be reading this saying, I had no idea she was from St. Pete. She  graduated from Boca Ciega High School. She talked a lot about her life in St.Pete here.
