Last week on the radio we were talking about who we thought were the worst out of state drivers. Many people called in and said Ohio and New York. Well, there was an actual study done by Clever Move and Florida is the state with the worst drivers in America. Three Florida cities are in the top 5. I live in the Tampa area, and yes we are on the list.

According to the  Clever More website they determined which  cities had the worst drivers in 2023, by using these 8 weighted multiple metrics:

1. 1x: Average yearly vehicle insurance premiums in the state

2. 2x: Days of precipitation every year

3. 3x: Average annual traffic deaths per 100,000 residents

4. 3x: Average annual alcohol-related traffic deaths per 100,000 residents.

5. 1x: Percentage of uninsured

6. 1x: Auto repair shops per 100,000 residents

7. 1x: Allstate’s best drivers rank

8. 1x: Google Trends for “DUI”

Below are the top 5 cities that have the worst drivers in America. Before looking, what Florida City do you believe is number one?

  • 5. Nashville,Tennessee
