HotSpot Shield conducted a study that looked at device-related data and network connectivity in the 55 most popular cities in the country. They ranked a user’s level of risk as a threat score out of 10. The score was based on vulnerabilities  such as captive portals, spoofing, incorrect routing , rough access points and honeypots.

The carriers or networks have nothing to do with the score. This study is based on the presence of hacker’s in each area. Vegas has major hacker conferences like DefCon and it’s exactly why they are the #1 on this list! Vegas is the most unsafe city for cybersecurity. We all love Vegas but please be careful and use cation while you are on your vacation.

Your Phone And Computer Are More Likely To Be Hacked In These Florida Cities

As I stated earlier I have been hacked and it sucked. I spent a week in Orlando going to different parks and somehow after using my tap at the gas station, someone was able to get into my device. All these charges that I did not authorize were being made. Luckily Chase is a great bank and they alert you when things seem suspicious. With that being said, it’s not shocking that Orlando made this list. Below you will find the Florida cities where your phone and computer are more likely to be hacked. Stay safe and aware.
