Florida Voters Approve Raising the Minimum Wage
Florida voters have said “Yes” to raising the minimum wage.
Amendment 2 received 61% of the vote, just narrowly getting the 60% majority vote minimum it needed to pass.
So what does this mean?
Amendment 2 raises the minimum wage to $10.00 per hour effective September 30, 2021. Every year after the minimum wage will increase by $1.00 per hour until it reaches $15.00 per hour on September 30, 2026.
