NFL Will Allow For 22,000 Fans To Be In Stands At Raymond James On February 7th
For Super Bowl LV this year, the NLF is planning to permit 22,000 fans inside Raymond James to watch the game.
Our stadium in Tampa’s capacity is 65,857. For big events, it can be expanded to upwards of 70,000.
Governor Ron DeSantis responded to the plan in a press release. “On behalf of Floridians and football fans across the nation, I’d like to thank the many men and women who worked hard to make this game a reality, especially our frontline health care workers.”
Of those 22,000 fans, approximately 7,500 will be health care workers. And of those health care workers, many will come from health care facilities in our area. Their tickets to the game and game-day experiences will be free.
COVID-spread prevention mechanisms will be in place on game day. Fans and workers will have to wear masks, socially-distance, do the pod seating, and use touchless tools at concessions and in restrooms.
