All Johnson & Johnson Vaccines Paused Because Of Blood Clots
It’s just been announced from The Food and Drug Administration telling states to temporarily halt using Johnson & Johnson’s Covid-19 vaccine. So far, six people in the U.S. developed a rare blood clotting disorder.
The FDA said the recommendation is “out of an abundance of caution,” adding the adverse events seen in the handful of recipients appears to be extremely rare.
As of 4/12, 6.8m+ doses of the J&J vaccine have been administered in the U.S. CDC & FDA are reviewing data involving 6 reported U.S. cases of a rare & severe type of blood clot in individuals after receiving the vaccine. Right now, these adverse events appear to be extremely rare
