Prost to Upper Tampa Bay Oktoberfest
Prost to Upper Tampa Bay Oktoberfest! The event has gotten so big they had to move it just outside of Oldsmar this year to Tampa Bay Downs (11225 Race Track Road).
Bevis from 99.5 QYK says, “it’s probably the biggest Oktoberfest in the Tampa Bay area.”
The event runs Friday, October 22nd through Sunday, October 24th (times vary by day).
Tickets are just $5. Military (with ID) and children 12 and under are free!
They have carnival rides for the kids, food, a Weiner Dog Derby and keg-hurling. Each day will also feature live music including a chance to get your polka on!
One thing not to be missed is the stein-holding contest. There will be a contest each day for both men and women and a championship on Sunday where a trophy will be awarded. Bevis says it can get really interesting, “We have to warn people not to drink the beer that’s in the stein cause typically it’s been siting in the hot-baking sun all weekend…But you always get somebody that probably has had several beers and wants to try and drink it”.
