The sneaker industry is expected to experience 5.31% growt worldwide this year, reaching $75.77 billion in revenue. Customers remain loyal to their favorite brands of kicks. AOI bot, a website that helps sneakerheads and resellers buy exclusive items online, recently published a report that details Florida’s most popular sneaker.
The information is broken out by state, providing the top three brand names. “Your surroundings will always play a role in what kind of sneakers you want to wear,” AOI bot explains.
Florida Loves Travis Scott Sneakers
This Grammy-nominated rapper is also one of the country’s most successful brand collaborators. Scott began working with Nike in 2017 (and Jordan brand in 2018) to create signature design sneakers. One of their most common products is a take on the Jordan AJ 1 model that features a backward swoosh logo.
Last month, Feature published an overview of the Travis Scott and Nike partnership. This coincided with their Air Jordan 1 Low Women’s “Olive” sneaker releasing on April 26. Overall, the Travis Scott releases are always met with much excitement. They tend to sell out quickly and then can be found on resale platforms (for a much higher price).
Vans and Nike Air Max
To round out the top three choices, Vans Old Skool and Nike Air Max 270 were also highlighted by AOI bot as Florida’s most popular sneakers. Vans retro style goes back to the 1960’s. The Old Skools are easy to wear, given their pairing flexibility with any style. Although they are frequently matched with skateboarding, the dozens of color scheme options allow these low-top kicks to also fit into dressed-up or casual wardrobes. Furthermore, Vans now allows you to custom design your own Old Skools.
The Air Max model was introduced as a lightweight sneaker built for comfort. They larger air pocket has made it one of the more signature and recognizable styles in the Nike catalog. Currently, the 270 is available in nine different men’s color options and 11 colors in women’s shoes.
