Chrissy Teigen’s Sexy ‘SI Swimsuit’ Cover For The First Time In 10 Years
Chrissy Teigen is bringing sexy back, 10 years later. The model and cookbook author is on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit 60th anniversary issue.
Teigen, 38, was one of the 52 ladies chosen for SI Swimsuit‘s 2024 edition. Among them, Teigen joins Gayle King, Hunter McGrady and Kate Upton, who also front their own covers for the publication’s anniversary. Teigen posed in a plunging, deep orange halter-style one piece suit for the cover.

As SI Swimsuit shared on their YouTube channel of Teigen’s photoshoot, the New York Times best-selling author also wore a retro-style white one piece, a conservative denim-design classic one piece, a sexy, strappy back one piece, and a crochet-knit two-piece suit that we only see brief snippets of her in the video with it on.
In honor of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 60th anniversary, the brand also organized a “Legends” shoot, producing a trilogy of covers with some of the most famous faces to grace the covers of SI Swim. This includes this year’s King, McGrady, Teigen, and Upton, along with Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley, Martha Stewart, Molly Sims, Maye Musk, Leyna Bloom, Paulina Porizkova, and Winnie Harlow.
Last year, Martha Stewart became Sports Illustrated’s oldest cover model at 81 years old. Stewart surpassed the previous record holder, Maye Musk, who posed for the special issue in 2022 at 74. When Stewart shared her cover image in an Instagram post at the time, the television personality and entrepreneur said that she hopes the cover inspires people “to try new things, no matter what stage of life you’re in.”
Teigen, who has been married to award-winning R&B singer John Legend since 2013, won the publication’s Rookie of the Year in her first appearance in 2010. She then appeared on the 2014 cover for the magazine’s 50th anniversary, alongside models Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge. This isn’t a rare thing for Teigen; she has appeared in Sports Illustrated nine times! SI Swimsuit editor-in-chief praised Teigen, saying she “represents the new generation of model moguls.”
The 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is on newsstands Friday, May 17.
Recently, Teigen wound up in a neck brace earlier this month, and her husband is now revealing what happened. Legend talked to ET Monday night (May 14) and addressed Teigen’s Instagram Story of herself in a neck brace after she said she’d tried doing a hand stand.
The “Who Do We Think We Are” singer tells the publication, “She hurt her neck trying to be, like, an acrobat — which she’s not. Sometimes she’s daring and she’ll try things.”
