North Carolina Fast Food Chain Coming To Tampa
Looks like Tampa Bay will be getting a new fast-food spot real soon. The new spot is a franchise that I know most of you, including myself, have never heard of and it will be taking over two former buildings in Tampa that used to be Boston Market restaurants that were in Carrollwood & Temple Terrance.
The new fast-food joint goes by the name, Cook Out. What is that you ask? Well, it’s a privately owned chain that is based in North Carolina. It was founded in 1989, and since then has been growing the brand and has been spreading out and setting up ship in over hundreds of cities. The Cook Out has expanded to many states across the southeastern US.
Their menu is pretty standard for a fast-food hamburger joint. It features grilled burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, North Carolina barbecue & milkshakes. The Cook Out also sells a soda that is only sold in North Carolina and some surrounding areas called Cherrywine.
Cook Out will be taking over the former Boston Market that was located at 16215 N. Dale Mabry and another one located at 5501 E. Fowler Ave. The new locations will be the first of their kind in the state of Florida, with new spots to open up in Pensacola and in the Tallahassee area.
While we have no timetable for when the restaurant will open but I will say it has gained some intrigue a from the looks of their menu. They have a wide range of fancy milkshake flavors that look and sound delicious. Can’t wait to get in line and try some of this North Carolina flavor coming to a Tampa.
Check out their menu in the meantime so that when they do open you are ready to go. Can’t wait to go to the Cook Out.
