Costco Starts A New Policy For Members
Costco starts a new policy for members and this will be happening in the coming months. The new policy will be that when you enter the front entrance of Costco, your membership card will be scanned. You can use your physical card or the QR code that is on the Costco app. So, this is because some people’s cards are invalid or expired and scanning them will show the employee that they’re active. If the scanned card is inactive or expired, the employee will send that person to the customer service desk to renew their membership. If you thought Costco wasn’t busy enough, this could cause more backups before you even enter, the building.
There was a testing phase of the scanner, and someone posted a picture to Reddit that showed that when the card was scanned the photo of the person showed up. If for some reason, the person does not have a picture, your ID will need to be shown to the employee.
How Much A Costco Membership Costs
Being a Costco member will cost you $120 a year for the Executive Membership. For their Gold Star membership, it will cost you $60 a year. The only difference between the two cards is that the Executive Membership gets an annual 2% reward and Costco services discounts. Both cards will allow you to shop online and in the warehouse, will include two membership cards for you and it does have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
There are 132 million people who have a membership to Costco. Costco is also the third largest retailer in the world and is the world‘s largest retailer of choice and prime beef and rotisserie chicken.
If you don’t want to shop in store you can get same day delivery where someone will shop for you and deliver it to your house.
