Florida: Here Is Our Favorite Competition TV Show
Competition programs have been part of classic television programming for many years. However, the reality show takeover of the past 20 years has led to a more innovative selection of head-to-head battle for outsiders to enjoy. The Loupe recently detailed the favorite competition show in every state, and in Florida, the choice is all about the American dream.
“From singing sensations to culinary masterpieces and mesmerizing dance performances, competition shows have become a beloved part of our cultural landscape,” The Loupe says.
Shark Tank Is The Florida Competition Show Winner
The likes of Mark Cuban, Mr. Wonderful, Lori Grenier, and Daymond John have been supporting entrepreneurs since 2009. Part of the format of Shark Tank over 15 seasons is having occasional special guest sharks. The fun here is that they all come from different professional backgrounds. For example, Alex Rodriguez, Ashton Kutcher, and Kevin Hart have all appeared as guests on the show. Furthermore, Shark Tank has made an effort to follow the impact of certain businesses as they reach new heights in sales and within their communities.
To compile this report, The Loupe analyzed Google Trends and search data from 2004 to the present. The results they found that people love popular series such as America’s Got Talent, Shark Tank, and The Masked Singer. The Voice claimed the honor of being the competition show that audiences love the most. Six states had this as their choice. American Idol is still going strong. Moreover, it’s the second favorite competition show according to this ranking.
As for Florida, we don’t stand alone. New Jersey was the other state that had Shark Tank as their favorite competition show.
As you probably know, new episodes air on Fridays at 8pm EST on ABC. You can also stream the show on Hulu. Late last year, Mark Cuban announced he will leave the show after season 16.
Two Florida Restaurants Named Among The Best For French Fries
Do you want fries with that? Tasting Table recently published a list of restaurants with the best French Fries in the country and two New Florida establishments were named.
“From high-end steakhouses and neighborhood brasseries’ to fast food restaurants and even grocery store freezer aisles, fried spuds can be found in just about every type of restaurant or shop across the country,” Tasting Table explains. Their feature is specific to non-fast food restaurants.
French Fries are always a fan-favorite whether a side dish, an appetizer, or just a snack. They come in all shapes and sizes. Shoe strings crispy versions, thick-cut steak fries, seasoned curly fries, waffle fries, and even tater tots (are those considered fries, though?).
French Fry Fun Facts
In a 2019 story published by the Daily Meal, they discussed unique facts on French Fries in America. Two of the most fascinating have to do with McDonald’s. “Approximately 7 percent of the potatoes grown in the U.S. meet the same fate: they become McDonald’s french fries,” they said. They later stated that this fast food chain sells one-third of the French Fries consumed in the United States.
French Fries are like music. They are a common bond, and they are subjective. What one person prefers may be completely different from another. Better yet, both choices are correct.
For example, Best Things Florida released their list of best French Fries in the Sunshine State. It is completely different from Tasting Table’s. However, Tasting Table went and explored all corners of the country to crown their French Fry kings.
The two restaurants in Florida that were recognized for having some of the best French Fries in the country serve two very different styles. One of them is part of a restaurant that has expanded to other markets. The other is served in a restaurant where fries compliment BBQ.
