Florida Highway Patrol Uniforms Are One Of The ‘Sexiest’ In America, Survey Says
Many of us have heard of sexy police officers. But can police uniforms be sexy? We’re not talking about a costume for Halloween, either. Wealth of Geeks, a financial advice website asked 3,000 participants to identify the sexiest state police uniforms.
Flordia Highway Patrol
Although they’re called “patrolmen” and not police, they were still tanked for their uniforms. Florida came in at number 8 in the ranking, with their uniforms referred to as “Sunshine State Sleek.” The ranking described the Florida Highway Patrol uniforms as “Tan shirts that capture the essence of endless summer, paired with matching trousers.” Is it just us or do their descriptions sound like something straight out of a romance novel?
If you’re wondering who came in first place, the Lone Star state of Texas took the top spot. “Envision shirts in a crisp, authoritative dark tan, known affectionately by troopers as ‘Texas Tan,” they wrote. “It’s the cowboy hat that truly sets this uniform apart, worn with the swagger of a rodeo champion and the solemn duty of a ranger,” they continued.
Following behind Texas are New Hampshire, Missouri, New Jersey, and Arizona.
Which state police departments have the least-sexiest uniforms?
According to the ranking, the bottom five are Alaska, South Dakota, Montana, Utah, and North Dakota.
Looking in your rearview mirror and seeing the flashing lights of a police car may get your heart racing because nobody likes a ticket. But if you do, at least you can say you were pulled over by an officer wearing the “sexiest state police uniform” in America.
“In the end, it’s not just about the uniforms but the people who wear them with honor and style,” Wealth of Geeks said in a statement. “As one survey respondent aptly put it, ‘These uniforms are more than fabric and threads; they’re the embodiment of the states they represent and the officers who wear them with pride.'”
The New Jersey State Police was established in 1939. According to their website, the first training academy was held in Bradenton with 40 students. This class graduated 32 members, and by the end of 1940 (the first full year of operation), FHP had 59 patrolmen.

9 Office Behaviors You Should Definitely Skip
In our busy lives, it often feels like we spend more time in the office than at home. Work can get crazy, and sometimes, our manners take a back seat. Workplace etiquette is all about how we act and interact at work, from how we dress to how we chat with our colleagues or handle shared spaces. With evolving ideas about work and shifting societal norms, office etiquette can sometimes be confusing. Regardless of cultural variations, maintaining basic office etiquette is a way to show respect for the people we work with and the job we do together.
Good Office Etiquette
Good office etiquette covers a lot, especially given the changes in how we work in recent years, including remote setups and virtual communication. Going the extra mile sometimes means arriving a bit early, depending on your job and office culture. It’s a signal to your boss that you’re a go-getter.
Many offices are shared spaces, so cleaning up after yourself is a big deal. It helps you get along with your colleagues. Additionally, looking sharp and presentable is important unless you’re in a super relaxed work setting that embraces flip-flops and t-shirts. This etiquette applies to everything, from weekly meetings with the boss to work parties.
It’s also wise to be ready to share your thoughts when your boss asks for input in meetings. It’s a chance to showcase your engagement and professionalism, contributing to productive discussions and decision-making.
While office etiquette training typically covers professional boundaries related to issues like gender, religion, and sexuality, it’s essential to respect your colleagues’ time and personal space.
Just as there’s good workplace etiquette, there are some things you should avoid. Mastering office etiquette might not be rocket science, but it’s the key to a pleasant and productive work environment. It’s about showing respect for your fellow workers and understanding the shared spaces where you all spend so much time.
To help you avoid these potential pitfalls, we’ve compiled a list of office behaviors you should avoid.
