7 Tampa Bay Specials To Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

This week is Cinco de Mayo which means that a lot of Tampa Bay restaurants are going to be celebrating. We featured 7 Tampa Bay area businesses with Cinco de Mayo specials that are going all out for the holiday. We think the best way to celebrate Mexico’s win against the French is to support local businesses!

Since Tampa Taco Week took place last week, a lot of places are celebrating Cinco de Mayo with tequila or margarita specials. Still, it’ll be worth it to head to these places for a proper celebration. Creative Loafing told us about the 25 celebrations and bar crawls. It’s also highly recommended to make a reservation. Many of these places are going to be packed with people celebrating. The best way for you to be seated without a super long wait is to make a reservation or call ahead to see if you could be put on the wait list before you arrive.

From the best Birria Taco, to cheap margaritas, here are some ways to celebrate Cinco De Mayo in Tampa Bay.

  • Los Chapos Tacos

    Los Chapos Tacos is located at 3 different locations. You can find them in Ybor at 951 E 7th Ave, Tampa. They’re celebrating Cinco De Mayo with the best tacos in town, $20 beer buckets,  $5 margaritas (all day), and free chips and salsa!

  • Green Lemon

    Green Lemon in Tampa doesn’t have any food or drink specials on the menu for Cinco De Mayo, but they are doing something a little different to celebrate. They’re giving away goodie bags to the first 300 people. They’ve even hidden a $300 gift card in 5 of the bags. Doors open at 11a so start your day off there!

  • No Vacancy

    One of St. Pete’s trendiest bars is having a free (no cover) Cinco De Mayo party! They will feature $3 street tacos, $5 corona’s and $7 frozen margaritas.

  • Yacht Starship

    Celebrate Cinco de Mayo on a yacht! This cruise features a 3-course meal and an OPEN bar (say less). Tickets are $80 for a 2 hour cruise.

  • Rocco's Taco's

    Rocco’s Taco’s has one of the biggest Cinco de Mayo celebrations. At all locations, they will be hosting an all-day fiesta featuring mouth-watering Mexican dishes, delicious cocktails, and live entertainment. The party starts in Tampa at 7p.

  • Bastet Brewing

    Bastet Brewing is hosting 5 Moles for 5 de Mayo. Chef Rene will be serving our guests FIVE different Mexican moles paired with FIVE different courses.

  • Casa Tina

    The best Mexican restaurant in Dunedin is going all out for Cinco de Mayo. They are taking the party to Main St. in Downtown Dunedin where they will have traditional Mexican dances and free salsa lessons, plus tons of food and drink specials.
