Cardi B and Rita Ora Kiss In “Girls” Music Video
Rita Ora has dropped the video for “Girls” that features Cardi B, Charlie XCX and Bebe Rexha.
Though the track saw a lot of backlash from members of the LGBTQ+ community, the track moves forward with the popularity of the full cast on the song.
Rita issued a statement according to NME, saying that “‘Girls’ was written to represent my truth and is an accurate account of a very real and honest experience in my life. I have had romantic relationships with women and men throughout my life and this is my personal journey.”
During the lip-lock scene, Rita is watching a hologram of Cardi B rapping, and the pair exchanges a kiss, further cementing Rita’s feelings on her sexual orientation. We’re sure that like many other songs in history (We’re looking at you, Katy Perry‘s “I Kissed A Girl” and Demi Lovato‘s “Cool For The Summer,”) that the track will still thrive, and will probably be the only real big hit we’ve seen from Ora thus far.
