T.I. Drops New Track ‘F*** N****’ And Uses Floyd Mayweather On The Cover
Apparently, 50 Cent isn’t the only one posting a photo of Floyd Mayweather in the Gucci balaclava that resembles blackface.
Yesterday, Atlanta rapper T.I. dropped a new track, “F*** N****,” which had Mayweather as the cover art rocking the same photoshopped Gucci balaclava that rapper 50 cent shared on Instagram, a few days earlier.
Tip shared a clip of the new song and the cover via his Instagram page.
About an hour before T.I. shared his new single, Mayweather shared a long message on Instagram regarding the Gucci boycott that he’s been criticized for not participating in. He questioned why would black people boycott Gucci only temporarily for 3 months, which is an initiative that rapper T.I. suggested. The boxing champ also questioned why wouldn’t people also boycott other luxury brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen, who he says are underneath the same umbrella.
He accused celebrities and “failing artists” of only using trending topics to seek attention and using social issues only when it benefits them.
Mayweather then said that the same celebrities who stir the pot over brands that they “without a doubt will continually buy” are the same artists who inject rap lyrics fueled with drugs, murder, and sexual promiscuity into the very black communities that they are pretending to care about.
He also accused the same celebrities of being deadbeat fathers and unfaithful husbands, which seemed like an indirect shot at both rappers 50 Cent and T.I.
50 Cent has been accused of being a deadbeat father, and T.I.’s infidelity against his wife R&B singer and songwriter Tiny has been highly publicized, and the subject of their popular reality show, T.I. and Tiny’s Family Hustle.
Mayweather questioned if people should boycott these rappers and record labels in addition to brands like Gucci, or should people just learn to communicate and bring solutions to the problems that are being faced.
Mayweather’s calling out of other celebrities and rappers’ problematic behaviors is interesting because he’s been accused of physically abusing women, which 50 Cent has called out on several occasions during their ongoing rivalry.
Today, 50 Cent mocked Mayweather on Instagram for his statement regarding the Gucci boycott. In his caption, he wrote, “champ must have heard that TI song he big time mad. LOL”
