‘Golden Girls’ Remove Blackface Episode

An episode of “Golden Girls” from 1988 that contained blackface has been pulled from Hulu.
In the episode, Rue McClanahan and Betty White are seen wearing mud masks which resulted in a barrage of criticism saying the episode was “insulting” toward Black people.
Also, in the same episode, Rose made a joke when they appeared in the mud mask saying, “This is mud on our faces, we’re not really Black.”
After news of the removal was released, many Twitter users weren’t happy with the decision.
