Brendan Fraser Gets Emotional After Hearing The World Roots For Him
Holy wholesomeness! Brendan Fraser was taken aback in a recent video where he was caught off guard in the best way when a fan let him know that everyone is rooting for him, in his comeback to film and television.
TikTok cosplayer Lindley (@LittleLottieCosplay) held a virtual meet-and-greet with Fraser, 52, who was dressed as his character from 1999’s The Mummy. The clip read: “Proof that Brendan Fraser is the purest of souls.”
The video has since gone viral nearing a million views and almost 430,000 likes. At the start of the TikTok, Fraser is in the middle of discussing his latest project, the Martin Scorsese crime thriller, Killers of the Flower Moon.
“I’m going to work with Scorsese and Leo (DiCaprio) and Bob De Niro.” he says, adding, “I think I might be a little sick, I’m a little anxious. No, it’s gonna be fun!” He then widened his eyes and pretended to gnaw on his fingernails nervously.
Immediately, Lindley assured Fraser that he’s “got this.”
“The internet is so behind you! We’re so supportive,” she says. “There are so many people out there who love you, and we’re rooting for you, and we can’t wait to see what you do next.”
Fraser looked so genuinely touched by her words, that as she was saying that people love and root for him, he looked like he was holding back tears.
“Shucks ma’am,” he finally says after taking a drink, with a tip of his cowboy hat.
@littlelottiecosplay “Shucks, ma’am!” 🥰🥰🥰 Adding to the Brendan love from earlier today. #brendanfraser #themummy #mummytok #rickoconnell

The George of the Jungle star was absent from the big screen for more than a decade after he accused former Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Philip Berk of sexual assault in 2003, Yahoo! Entertainment reports. In 2018, he opened up about feeling blacklisted after the incident.
However, Fraser began staging his comeback a few years ago with projects like FX’s Trust and now it seems like he’s getting cast everywhere, from Steven Soderbergh’s No Sudden Move to DC’s Doom Patrol series. Most recently, he’s been slated to join Scorsese’s highly-anticipated Killer of the Flower Moon and Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale.
