Lance Bass Shares First Photos of Twins: ‘Never Been So Happy’
New dad Lance Bass is basking in the joys and smells of parenthood. On Sunday (October 17), the *NSYNC alum, 42, shared a series of photos of newborn twins Violet Betty and Alexander James, days after welcoming the babies via surrogate with husband Michael Turchin.
“Haven’t slept much in 5 days and I’m covered in ick but I’ve never been so happy! Now there are four of us in this house that wear diapers (hint: it’s not me or @michaelturchinart,” Bass captioned the post of the couple’s first days of fatherhood.
In Lance’s Halloween-loving fashion, he couldn’t help but to follow the post with a photo of daughter Violet next to a creepy doll captioning, “It’s never too early for a #LanceScares,” adding that it is going to be “Violet’s favorite doll!”
Bass announced Violet and Alexander's arrival on Thursday, sharing the exciting news with photos of the twins’ birth certificates, which included stamps of their tiny footprints.
“The baby dragons have arrived!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” Bass wrote in the caption. “I can not express how much love I feel right now. Thank you for all the kind wishes. It meant a lot. Now, how do you change a diaper??! Ahhhhhhhh!”
Earlier this summer, Bass revealed the baby news, saying it had been “quite the journey” as he opened up about years of surrogacy attempts, failed IVF treatments and a miscarriage.
Lance and Michael, 34, said in June, “We had been talking about having a family since we met. We’ve been together for 10 years. We always knew that if we were going to start the family, we wanted to go for twins just because Michael’s a twin — he’s a boy/girl twin. And he just loved that experience. I always wanted to have a twin, but we’re like, ‘Well, that’s so perfect because now we can do one of mine, one of yours.’ It was a no-brainer!”
Bass also shared that they were anticipating an early November arrival, but hoped they’d arrive in time for Halloween saying, “I need them to be Halloween babies. They have no choice but to love Halloween because I’m obsessed and they’re going to be obsessed.”
