Many may look at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr as another day off, but in reality it means so much more.
The day honors a man who paved the way for Civil Rights Movement and was the leader of many marches that took place during dangerous times. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr fought for basic civil rights like desegregation and the right to vote for people of color.
Every year, our city of Tampa Bay honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the MLK Parade. The WiLD staff takes part in this tribute that takes to the streets to celebrate the life of this man and everything he accomplished.
