Kanye West Suspended from Instagram for 24 Hours
Kanye West has been levied a 24-hour suspension from Instagram following various posts targeting a number of people, including ex-wife Kim Kardashian and Trevor Noah.
Per TMZ, “A spokesperson for Meta tells us Kanye’s recent posts violated Instagram’s policies on hate speech, harassment and bullying. As a result, we’re told his account has been suspended for 24 hours — where he won’t be able to post, comment, send DM’s, among other things. The spokesperson tells us they’ll take additional steps if further violations happen.”
As previously reported, Ye took to Instagram and used a racial slur against Noah after he weighed in on the ongoing drama between the rapper, Kardashian and her boyfriend Pete Davidson.
The attack on Noah follows another incident earlier this week where West said in since-deleted videos about Davidson, “The devil ain’t gon’ win. This is gaslighting. Kim gets Black people out of prison. You know who puts Black people in prison? The person that the boyfriend has a tattoo of: Hilary [Clinton]. Do you understand the set up right here? Do you understand the narrative, right here?”
This incident was in response to a text exchange between West and Davidson where the SNL cast member allegedly shared a selfie he took while in Kim K’s bed. The Shade Room shared screenshots of this text exchange that were provided by Pete’s writing partner Dave Sirus.
