Kanye West Put Adidas On Blast All Weekend Long. Is GAP Next?
Kanye has been airing out all of his grievances with Adidas on social media and now it has all finally come to an end — at least for now.
“I COULD HEAR THE JOY IN MY TEAMS VOICES TODAY,” Ye wrote in all caps. “ADIDAS DON’T WANT NO MORE SMOKE. THE MOVIE CREDIT’S ARE ROLLING. THIS WAR WASN’T ABOUT MONEY.
The note continued: “IT WAS ABOUT CONTROL OF OUR FAMILIES. OF OUR BUSINESSES. OF OUR STORY. OF OUR VOICE. I GAVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO SETTLE THIS QUIETLY. NOW IT’S TIME FOR GAP :)”

Ye followed up with an additional post about what his legal team recommends him to do about GAP.
“Dear Ye, Your legal team recommends that we refrain from posting anything on Gap for another 10 days,” the post read. He added in the caption: “10 days.”

Ye then was feeling optimistic about his feud with Adidas this weekend telling his followers that he plans to take over the global shoe brand as he sent out his first cryptic warning for GAP.
“When I’m the head of Adidas, who should be my first hire?” Ye wrote on Sunday (Sept. 4). “GAP, I’ll get you next week. Adidas is my focus for the weekend.”
This was not the first time Ye had decided he had enough with GAP. Just last week, Ye targeted GAP when the rapper accused them of taking ownership of his designs with Balenciaga.
“This is Gap copying YGEBB [Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga],” the since-deleted post read Thursday (Sept. 1) which included a photo of a young model wearing the design in question. The caption for the post read, “But they canceled the photo shoot with my kids in Japan without me knowing.”

In his recent social media rant about Kim Kardashian and where they would be deciding where their four children will be going to school, he added that GAP and Adidas were both doing him wrong.
“Here is the through line. Gap having meetings about me without me,” the post read. “Adidas releasing old shoes and coloring my shoes like I’m dead.”

In addition to posting notes about Adidas and GAP on Instagram, the rapper-turned-entrepreneur also called out several people working for the Adidas over the weekend. Most people he called out had positive captions attached to their headshots like “good vibes,” “sooo much positivity,” but the first person Ye called out negatively for stealing his designs on Adidas was attorney Ekwan E. Rhow.
“I have no chill. It’s going to cost you billions to keep me. It’s going to cost you billions to let me go Adidas,” he wrote under a headshot of Rhow. “You stole my f—ing designs amongst other things I’ll give you to Tuesday. I’m not waiting 7 months to leave like the breach letter I sent you refers to. It’s up now I’m going to make things unbearable. And I promise I’ve only been playing nice I know eeeeeeeverything. I promise the fake shoes y’all sold behind my back in China. Eeeeeverything.”
He is accusing Adidas for hiring Rhow to change their contract.
Ye then took several shots at Adidas executive Daniel Cherry. The first post had a photo of Kanye and Cherry over Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War film poster read, “Daniel Cherry Pop I knew by the Jean jacket you was wearing when we first met that we could never truly be friends.”
The rapper then shared several of his favorite comments posted by fans making fun of Cherry dubbing him “the new face of unemployment.” Following that post, Ye uploaded a third photo on Monday (Sept. 5) with a headshot of the Adidas exec with the caption, “Hi guys it’s the face of unemployment aka the face Wishing everyone a happy day off 2mrw I’ll be in retirement Which is a nice way of saying I’ll be unemployed.”
For now, it seems as though his feud with Adidas could be over. And clearly, the execs at GAP are probably bracing themselves.
