Drake & Lil Baby Reportedly Working On Joint Album
Drake might be gearing up for another joint album with an Atlanta rap star and this time it’s Lil Baby. Fresh off of the release of his Her Loss with 21 Savage, Drizzy is reportedly preparing for another joint project, according to Black Coffee who worked with the Toronto rapper on Honestly, Nevermind.
Quality Control’s Coach K, (Lil Baby’s label boss) told Coffee, “He had said to me Lil Baby and Drake are making an album.” During the interview, he also mentioned that Drake might be retiring soon which is a topic that Drizzy spoke about with Lil Yachty recently.
If Drake and Lil Baby drop a joint album, it will be the third project that Drizzy has created with an ATL rapper. In 2015, he teamed up with Future for What A Time To Be Alive, and last year Drake dropped Her Loss with 21 Savage. Drake first collabed with Lil Baby on “Yes Indeed” in 2018 which propelled the ATL rapper to the mainstream with the Drizzy co-sign. They later collabed on “Wants And Needs” from Drake’s Scary Hours 2, “Girls Want Girls” from Drizzy’s Certified Lover Boy, and DJ Khaled enlisted the duo for the lead single “Staying Alive” from his Grammy-nominated album God Did.
Lil Baby got off the road with Chris Brown for their One Of Them Ones Tour last summer and dropped his third studio album It’s Only Me in October 2022.
