Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice Announce Release Date For ‘Barbie World’
Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice are at it again as the duo has another track “Barbie World” on the way. “It’s BARBIE B!CH If you still in doubt,” Minaj teased on her Instagram Saturday (June 10) with a photo of her and Spice.
Ice Spice captioned hers “bad like da barbie.” The track will have vocals from the two rappers as well as original “Barbie World” hitmakers, Aqua. The track will be a part of the soundtrack for the upcoming Barbie film starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Emma Mackey, Simu Liu, Micheal Cera, Issa Rae, and more. Greta Gerwig directed the film.

Joining Nicki and Ice Spice on the soundtrack are Lizzo, Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Kali, Khalid, PinkPantheress, Ryan Gosling, Tame Impala, and the Kid LAROI. According to the most recent post from the film, there are more features, or “Barbies and Kens,” to be announced.
The announcement of “Barbie World” is on the heels of another big update for Nicki fans. Last week, the Pink Friday creator announced that her fifth album has an official release date.
“10/20/23 The Album,” the rapper <a href=”https://twitter.com/NICKIMINAJ/status/1665840009159536642?” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>wrote</a> adding her signature pink bow emoji and a CD emoji to the tweet.
Fans already suspected that another collab with Ice Spice would be in the works. The Bronx native responded to Nicki’s album announcement with the “see no evil” emoji. The two recently collabed for the , which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Nicki’s only solo offering of the year was “Red Ruby da Sleeze.” It debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March and uses elements of Lumidee’s 2003 hit “Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh).” Nicki is no stranger to flipping classics. Last year, she got her first Hot 100 No. 1 solo hit with “Super Freaky Girl,” which sampled Rick James’ 1981 song “Super Freak.”
