Tampa Woman Gives Her Mansion And Inheritance To……
A woman in Tampa who passed away last year, will stipulated that her 7 cats must remain in her mansion and that they receive an inheritance. A friend of the woman said, “The deal is that the house was not to be sold until the last cat passed.” According to the friend, she was worried about her pets being separated or placed in a new home.
For nearly 6 months, the cats remained in the 4,000-square-foot South Tampa home, that has a market value of $2.5 million. Someone would stop by a few times a day to check on them, but a Hillsborough County judge decided that it was best for the cats to find new homes. They are currently being cared for at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
The cats will be available for adoption later this week and will come with an inheritance. An attorney is still working out the exact amount, but it will be enough to cover the cats’ food, medical and grooming bills forever. Whoever adopts the cats will have to bring receipts back to the Humane Society for reimbursement. The cats are 5-years-old Persians. HSTB says they’re looking for someone with experience with Persians to adopt the cats. They also stated that they want to keep as many cats together as possible. [Source: Yahoo]
