This is one of the craziest stories I have ever read! “You won’t believe why this Florida woman set her tinder date on fire.” This bizarre incident happened in Miami which is about 4 hours from where I live in St. Petersburg.

Why did she set her tinder date on fire?

Destiny Lenai Johnson was arrested on charges of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, attempted murder and arson after after attacking a man she met through the app Tinder. The victim told police the two met at Holiday Inn.

The victim picked up Johnson, they smoked marijuana and then went somewhere else. When he brought Johnson back to the hotel she asked him for some money to get her car fixed.  The victim offered her $60 but apparently that wasn’t enough.

After giving her the money she yelled “you guys are out to get me.” Strange right? What’s even stranger is that she set his car on fire! Yes she poured a flammable liquid on his car and set both him and the car on fire. Luckily the  victim escaped the burning vehicle and rolled on the pavement to put out the fire. Evil or mental health issue?

Are you a fan of dating apps? I have met some really nice men on Plenty of fish. They were really respectful. My friend actually met her husband on Plenty of fish. I do have a weird story about a man that I met on Tinder.

When I first met this man he was super cool. We went on a couple of dates and then I finally went back to his house. When I went inside I noticed that he had dolls everywhere and I mean everywhere. I was so freaked out that I left the house and never went back.

Which Florida City Made The List With Highest Murder Rates In U.S.

There’s lots to love about the Sunshine State, but we’re also notorious for the craziest crimes. One Florida city even ranked in the top 15 for highest murder rates in America. It’s not really a list we love to see Florida on, but we can’t say we’re not surprised with all the insane stuff that happens here.

Our friends at neighboorhoodscout.com ranked the top 30 cities in the country with the highest murder rates per 1,000 residents. They condensed their research by including cities with 25,000 or more people. They collected their data by the number of murders reported to the FBI to have occurred in each city, and the population of each city. The city population data comes straight from the US Bureau of the Census at the time of each analysis. For instance, the 2022 list population uses 2020 population figures. The 2021 list uses 2019 figures, and so forth.

There were 14 new cities making the list this year. “The newcomer on this list with the highest murder rate is Saginaw, MI. The number of murders in Saginaw more than doubled from the previous year.” Thankfully (and surprisingly) only one Florida city was ranked in the research.
