Free Family-Friendly Fun At River O’ Green Festival In Downtown Tampa
Who’s excited to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in beautiful downtown Tampa against the backdrop of the River O’ Green?
The big festival takes place at Curtis Hixon Park. It’s happening on Saturday, March 16th from 11 am-6pm. One of the coolest parts is the dying of the Hillsborough River. It’s so cool to see it in its emerald-green glory. Bring the kids! Heck, bring the four-legged family members. This is a family-fun party along Riverwalk.
By the way, the event is FREE. Come out and enjoy the music, delicious food, and of course, beverages for St. Paddy’s Day. How about some Guinness? You know it. The kids will be entertained by fun activities while the adults enjoy live music and entertainment.
What’s New At River O’ Green in Tampa?
First off, there will be a second stage to enjoy even more entertainers. If you’d like to enjoy an art walk where you can check out local talented artists, head over to the area near Four Green Fields. There will also be a fun cabbage toss game for kiddos. And sign me up for the Lucky Charms eating contest!
More Info on The Green Dye
Oh, and if you’re saying, “But how safe is this dye that is being used in the Hillsborough River?” Don’t worry. The dye is completely environmentally friendly. It’s all the good stuff: non-toxic, biodegradable, and it checks all the EPA standards, as well. Have you heard of the kind of dye that is used in water systems to follow the path of drinking water? Or how about the dye that is used in food? Heard of dye used in eye surgery to follow the blood vessels. Same as all those dyes, so it’s safe.
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Sunday this year. We have the whole day to enjoy the River O’ Green Festival in downtown Tampa. Actually, we’ll have the whole weekend to enjoy it since it kicks off on Saturday, March 16.
