St. Pete Pizzeria Relocating To Accommodate More Fans
Have you tried The Violet Stone yet? They’ve only been in business for about 2 years but they already are considered one of the best pizzerias in the St. Pete/Tampa Bay area. Well, pizza connoisseurs should be happy with this good news, the viral pizzeria is relocating to a larger space to accommodate more fans.
St. Pete Rising reported that The Violet Stone will be relocating from their original location at 2134 9th Avenue North to 2609 Dr. MLK Jr. Street North in St. Pete’s Crescent Heights community. The space was known as The House of Pipes and Cigars and a vegan café.
More Info On The New The Violet Stone Location
If you’ve been to The Violet Stone recently, you’ve probably noticed a line out the door, people eating in their cars, and a sign that says “limit 2 pies and 2 philly cheesesteaks per order”. Owner Daniel Fekete is hoping to offer 110 seats with indoor and outdoor options. The owner also told St. Pete Rising that he plans to remove the wall between the cigar shop and old vegan café so fans can get an up-close look on their dough-making process. The new location will be open 6 days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.. Street parking will be available, but because they have a limited staff, delivery will not be available.
Fekete said to St. Pete Rising “This isn’t going to be a typical St. Pete ‘Instagram’ type of restaurant. It will be beautiful, but we are spending our money on the food and things that matter”. He also hopes that this new location will become a St. Pete staple like Mazzaros Italian Market.
The Violet Stone is known for their well done pies with charred edges and zero flop. Each pie is topped with basil and parmesan. They use Bianca DiNapoli organic tomatoes on their pies and D.O.P. tomatoes (authentic San Marzano tomatoes) to make their sauces.
