Last Chance To Say Goodbye To This Legendary Busch Gardens Roller Coaster
Busch Gardens is saying goodbye to a legendary roller coaster soon after this month. This coaster has been apart of the theme park for 44 years. It was my first “real” roller coaster, and I loved it as a kid. But as I got older, I started craving a bigger rush from riding coasters. Fast speeds, big drops, and loops became a must for every ride. This coaster debuted in 1980 and became a family favorite for its unique design. It offered a thrilling experience that adults and kids loved.
When you think of the “legendary” coasters at Busch Gardens a few different ones come to mind… Montu, Kumba, Gwazi. Well thrill seekers, you can relax because all of those iconic coasters are safe. But we are saying goodbye to “Scorpion”.
After thrilling guests for over 44 years, the final day of ride operation will be Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024. Scorpion is the last stationary coaster of its kind in the world, making this the last chance to experience a legend.
What will be replacing one of the oldest coasters at Busch Gardens? We don’t know, yet. But follow along on social media for the latest announcements from Busch Gardens!
