Final St. Petersburg Christmas in the Park Event Happening December 22 After 18-Year Run
Hannah’s Homeless will host their last Christmas in the Park event on Dec. 22 at Williams Park in St. Petersburg, wrapping up 18 years of bringing holiday cheer to people experiencing homelessness. They’ll start taking donations at 12:30 p.m. at 350 2nd Ave N. What began as a small gathering in 2006 grew into a beloved yearly event by 2012, helping countless people in need. Hot pizza and cold drinks will be served to everyone who comes. They’re looking for paper plates and a cooler with ice to help with serving.
They really need certain items this year. Basic hygiene kits, easy-open canned food, and snacks help the most. For men, they need good backpacks, warm socks, sturdy shoes, and durable belts.
As this 18-year journey of helping others comes to an end, they’re still focused on supporting neighbors going through tough times. People can drop off donations starting at 12:30 p.m. It’s all about the community coming together one last time. Volunteers will spend the afternoon handing out food and collecting essential supplies for those who need a helping hand.
