St. Petersburg Police Warn of 3 Different Stimulus Check Scams
Watch out for stimulus check scams. Seems like scams are always popping up anytime we’re all expected to get some extra cash.
That’s from the St. Pete Police Department. A couple of scenarios scammers are running right now:

The scammers may also try to reach you through social media networks. If someone is direct messaging you about the status of your stimulus check, ignore them.
And never fall for the “Hey. This is the IRS calling. Mind giving me your personal financial information. The IRS will never call you and ask you for your banking information. Hang up right away if such a person calls you.
Even if someone from “your bank” calls you, verify who they are. Ask to call them back.
