Pete Davidson Dropped Out Of Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin Space Flight
As it turns out, Pete Davidson won’t be going to space after all. While the Saturday Night Live star was set embark on Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin 20th space mission next week, it appears a date change has caused the comedian to bow out. “Blue Origin’s 20th flight of New Shepard has shifted to Tuesday, March 29,” Blue Origin tweeted on March 17. “Pete Davidson is no longer able to join the NS-20 crew on this mission. We will announce the sixth crew member in the coming days.”

While Pete, 28, has yet to publicly address this change in plan, it’s possible that his work schedule is keeping him from the flight, E! News speculates. In addition to SNL, he’s currently in the middle of filming the movie The Home in New Jersey.
Prior to his cancellation, the company announced earlier this week that Pete would be a part of their fourth human flight into space, which was initially set to launch on March 23. Although Pete won’t be able to make the trip now, Party America CEO Marty Allen, philanthropist Marc Hagle and wife Sharon Hagle, University of North Carolina professor Jim Kitchen, as well as Dr. George Nield, are still set to board the flight.
Speculation about Pete’s possible involvement with the Amazon CEO’s company first started in January, when The King of Staten Island actor and his girlfriend Kim Kardashian previously were among the guests at a January dinner party hosted by Bezos at his Los Angeles home with his partner Lauren Sánchez. At the time, E! News confirmed the couple stayed for a few hours before being photographed exiting the mansion. While a future mission hasn’t been announced, Pete might be able to score a seat on another Blue Origin flight.
