Usher Announces ‘Past Present Future Tour’
Usher will be hitting the road starting in August for his Past Present Future Tour. The R&B legend will be starting off in Washington, D.C., and making his way to Brooklyn, Atlanta, Miami, and more over the course of his 24-stop trek. He will also be the first performer at Los Angeles’ Inuit Dome. The tour will end in Chicago after two nights on Oct. 28 and Oct. 29 in the city’s United Center.
Fans can purchase presale tickets starting Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. local time. General sales will begin the day after Usher’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance on Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. local time.
Usher Gears Up For Super Bowl Halftime Show
Next up for Usher is his Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday (Feb. 11). In an interview per VIBE last month, the “Superstar” crooner said that the show will implement his love for rollerskating, have a “major costume change,” and honor R&B music.
In his latest interview with Vogue, in which he graces the cover alongside model Carolyn Murphy, Usher gave some insight on what is to come of his Super Bowl performance.
“This night was specifically curated in my mind to have R&B take the main stage,” Usher told the publication.
He added that the artists selected to be a part of his set are “people who represent, for him, the genre’s architects…Not just R&B music, but R&B performance, R&B connection, R&B spirit.”
