Two Florida Airports Named Best In America
There are a lot travelers that come to Florida each year. Depending on their destination, visitors can choose between at least 10 different major Florida airports to fly in/out of. Well, out of the long list of places to fly in Florida, two major airports were named best in America. Travel lens recently conducted a study that tells us where the best airports are in the U.S.. They pitted the 50 busiest US airports against each other to reveal the best in the country based on a range of factors. Some of the factors they considered are: passenger satisfaction, wait times, and pollution levels. Here’s what they found.
The best airport in the country is right here in the Sunshine State. Southwest Florida International took the crown for best airport in America. While it may not be the busiest airport in terms of area, it is the second-busiest single-runway airports in the U.S.. The average wait time is just 16 minutes and there are low pollution levels.
The other Florida airport to make the top ten list was Tampa International Airport. We thought this one was a no-brainer. TPA is one of the best places to fly. Even though Tampa International had the highest passenger satisfaction score in this study (846/1000), they made the #4 spot on the list. Does any other airport have a giant flamingo in their main terminal? Didn’t think so. TPA is also constantly working to make themselves better, and our lives easier. The blue express curbside has made it a breeze to get to the transfer level of the main terminal.
