Tampa Authorities Crackdown On Underage Partygoers Using Fake IDs In Nightclubs
Parents there’s a new epidemic and it’s important you pay attention to your kids. Tampa has a new problem and this time it involves our underage children getting into clubs. It seems there’s been an epidemic of fake IDs being used in the Bay area and the Tampa Police Department is trying to crack down on this issue. As a matter of fact, it’s become such a problem that Plant High School had to send out a note to parents giving them a heads up about this difficult issue. In the note, it said to check on your kids in case they had one in their possession. It also said that, if you knew of one that’s currently being used, to give it to a suggested police officer to help.
How To Break Up Teen Fake ID Epidemic:
One anonymous parent mentioned in online post that they went through their child’s phone and found out about some fake IDs. In the group chat between the teens they were bragging about the fake IDs and planning a night out at a few Tampa night clubs. The mother was worried about her child but was also concerned about telling the other parents. She didn’t want her child to be an outcast amongst her friends if she told the other parents.
It’s important to understand that using a fake ID or having it in possession is illegal and can have serious consequences. Using fake identification is against the law in most jurisdictions.
