2 Tampa Bay Retailers Lowering Cost Of Thanksgiving Dinner
Two Tampa Bay retailers are lowering the cost of Thanksgiving dinner for this year. There will be two meal options for you to choose from. Walmart will be lowering your favorite brands’ prices to make your Thanksgiving dinner for this year. Also, Aldi announced that they will be lowering prices. So, beginning November 1 Walmart will offer two meal options for Thanksgiving dinner. The first one is a ready-to-bake meal. Secondly, they will have a meal that will need to be prepared from scratch. That one will have items like turkey, ham, stuffing, and pumpkin pie.
You will also be able to get this deal for Christmas as well. Aldi said that those price reductions will go till the end of 2023. Walmart has lower prices on those items which will last until December 26.
There is no word on exactly how much the meal will cost at Walmart, but they did say that the price of the turkey will be under $1 per pound. Aldi is cutting prices on over 70 items. Additionally, some items up to 50% off are gravy, potatoes, green beans, cranberries, pumpkin pie, butter, and flour.
The average cost of a Thanksgiving dinner in 2022 was about $64.05. That is less than $6.50 per person. Although it is a $10.74 increase or 20% more than it was in 2021.

About 88% of Americans surveyed by the National Turkey Federation eat turkey on Thanksgiving. 46 million turkeys are eaten every Thanksgiving. 22 million turkey’s on Christmas and 19 million turkeys on Easter. Here’s another fun fact about Thanksgiving, Campbell’s makes 40% of its total sales of cream and mushroom soup for the year in the week leading up to Thanksgiving. The cream of mushroom goes into green bean casserole.
Finally, the cost of Thanksgiving dinner will be lower a those two retailers. Hopefully more will follow suit.
