McDonald’s Is Bringing Back The Fan-Favorite Snack Wrap: Find Out When
McDonald’s is hinting that they may bring back the popular menu item: the snack wrap. In a recent report and press conference, the fast food company addressed the customer’s love for chicken meals. This led to plans to expand their chicken options on their menu. But fans might have to wait a while to get their hands on the fan-favorite snack.
The snack wrap was introduced in 2006 and has been discontinued since about 2016, despite pleas from fans to bring it back. The company ditched it from its menu because employees said it was too complicated to make and would hold up the service line. Recently, almost every one of McDonald’s competitors has launched their own version of the snack wrap. Wendy’s kicked it off with their version, which is more a full entrée than a “snack” item. Burger King also launched their version of the snack wrap. They have 3 different ways to order, classic, spicy, and honey mustard. Those are more on par with what used to be on McDonald’s menu and are currently selling for less than $3 a wrap.
When can we expect the McDonald’s snack wrap to come back?
Fans shouldn’t hold their breath as they will have to wait a while for the snack wrap to come back on the menu. To compete with other chicken businesses, McDonald’s plans to expand its chicken items. Business Insider tells us “This includes plans to offer McCrispy in nearly all markets around the world by the end of 2025 and to expand McCrispy into wraps and tenders.” This means they could test it early in some markets, but you can expect it everywhere in 2025. McDonald’s also plans to expand to 50,000 restaurants by the end of 2027.
