8 New Restaurants Coming To Tampa Bay In 2024
If you’re a foodie, 2024 might just be your favorite year yet in Tampa Bay. 2023 brought some great new dining additions to the streets of Tampa Bay, but 2024 is looking to top that. If you’re looking to try something new this year, you’re in luck because we’re here to fill you in on 8 new restaurants coming to Tampa Bay in 2024.
Over the next 12 months there’s a huge variety of new spots opening their doors from fish, chicken, dumplings, steak houses, drive-thru Wawa’s and more. We won’t keep you waiting so here are 8 new restaurants coming to Tampa Bay in 2024 that you should try.
Pete’s Bagels Drive Thru:
Location: 4th St S and 25th Ave
St. Pete’s historic gas station will transform into a brand new breakfast drive-thru honoring the original architecture one of the oldest gas stations in St. Pete. They’ll offer breakfast sandwiches, bagels, coffee and more. The coffee within Pete’s Bagels Drive Thru isn’t your ordinary brew, but in fact made by a local roaster, Look Alive Coffee. If you’re a fan of outdoor seating and a walk up counter, they’ll have that too all within the 326 sq-ft building.
Ling’s Dumplings and Han Hand Rolls:
Location 1910 N Ola Ave., Tampa
There’s a new dumpling chief in town at Armature Works coming in 2024. Zukku Sushi is transforming into Zukuu Sushi 2.0 and introducing us to their new creation, Ling’s Dumplings and Han Hand Rolls. Tampa Latest says, “This expansion adds to Zukku Sushi’s portfolio, which already includes Zukku-San in Wesley Chapel, as well as Āto, specializing in burritos and bowls, located in Lakeland and Wesley Chapel. With a Zukku Sushi spot in Charlotte, North Carolina, this restaurant company is truly making waves in the culinary scene. Stay tuned for the unveiling of these dynamic dining destinations!”
Drive-Thru WaWa:
Location: 2530 East Bay Dr. Largo
When we first heard about this back in July, we knew it was going to be a hit and told you our thoughts. The famous gas station chain will be gracing us with their first Florida drive thru. This will NOT be a gas station, but you can expect the delicious hot food, sandwiches, salads and breakfast foods.
Fat Boy’s Pizza:
Location: Unknown (TBA)
The “World’s Biggest Pizza Slices” are coming to Tampa Bay. This larger than marge pizza chain is bringing it;s New Orleans roots to the bay area. They already have locations in Louisiana and Mississippi. You’ll find slices, 10 inch and 16 inch pizzas, and their “whopping 30-inch pie.” If that’s not enough for you, there are wings, waffle fries, salads, daiquiris and more to choose from.
Big Chicken:
Location: Unknown (TBA)
Shaquille O’Neal’s fast ‘n fried concept, Big Chicken, is set to make waves in the Sunshine State in 2024. There is no confirmed location yet, but the company signed a large franchising deal for 45 stores with a Florida based development firm, DMD Ventures. They are set to open in the Tampa Bay area, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando. You can expect various chicken sandwiches, tendys and more inspired by Shaq’s favorite dishes.
Dutch Bros:
Location: 3616 W Ballast Point Blvd., Tampa
One we know you’re waiting for and have already told you about, Dutch Bros coffee. It has a massive menu with many different options. They have seasonal drinks, cold brews and hot coffees, energy drinks, teas, smoothies and more. They have 36 different flavors of energy mixes and many of them come in sugar free options as well.
Late Start Brewing:
Location: 1018 E Cass St., Tampa
This Tampa based company has been working on its new location since 2022 so this is a highly anticipated release. The new space will include a dining room and bar that’s able to accommodate up to 50 people. They will feature a new outdoor dining area to fit 50 more guests with picnic tables. Late Start Brewing is featured in Channelside’s Pour House, but be on the lookout for an official opening timeline.
Streetlight Taco:
Location: 4004 Henderson Blvd., Tampa.
Chef Michael Brannock is bringing a “hyper traditional” experience to the streets of Tampa’s Palma Ceia neighborhood. This restaurant is a 2,500 square-foot establishment that can fit around 100 guests. Managing partners, Jack Murray and Nick Reader combined with Brannock’s expertise in the culinary arts, there’s no doubt Streetlight Taco is set to be one of the most anticipated openings of the year.
