Why Is My Facebook Still Chirping
So when you opened up your Facebook and started scrolling, you may have heard a chirping sound. But why is your Facebook still chirping? Facebook did an update, and as part of the new update, the chirping sound is part of it. Facebook said that it is to make the mobile experience more engaging, but for some people it is just straight annoying. There is good news though you can actually turn off the chirping sound if it annoys you. Here is how you do it on the mobile app in five steps.
First – Click on the bottom right icon of your app. It will say Menu and will most likely have your featured picture on it.
Second – Scroll down to see settings and privacy and click that
Third – Click on settings
Fourth – Scroll down until you see media and click that
Fifth – The very top item says sounds. Underneath it it says in-app sound. If it is turned on, turn it off and that will fix the problem.
Now there is no more chirping sound when you are scrolling through your feed. If for some reason you want the sound back on then follow those steps again and turn it on.
