Bad Bunny Drops His Last Campus Shoe
Bad Bunny is one of the most prolific musical artists of our generation, and his influence on the culture has been astronomical. So, when Adidas came to him with the idea of doing a sneaker collaboration, it was a no brainer. With he himself being a sneaker head, his fans and sneaker connoisseurs alike would appreciate his vison.
So far, Bad Bunny has collaborated with Adidas on a few silhouettes, with the classic “Campus” shoe being the most popular run he’s had. It is not your typical classic Adidas Campus. It has a nice twist to it that really highlights Bad Bunny’s skateboard background. Benito grew up as a skater boy cruising through the streets of Puerto Rico. So, it explains the bulkiness of the sneaker and fat tongue of the shoe.
There have been multiple colorways of the Bad Bunny “Campus.” The most recent being the “Deep Brown” color. This is said to be the last shoe from Benito’s campus silhouette. This doesn’t mean there won’t be another show between Benito & Adidas, just means he is retiring this specific shoe.
The “Deep Brown” color stays true to the previous drops, with just the brown on the upper & hints of pink on the side of the shoe, tongue, and insole. To me, this is probably the best color out of the entire collection. It’s also a great summer shoe, and it came just in time for his big tour, Most Wanted Tour.
The sneaker retails for $160 and are still available and can be found online and at most sneaker shops.
Who knows what shoe Bad Bunny and Adidas will cook up next, but I would like to see him put a twist to the classic “Gazelle” silhouette or even an Adidas “Ultra Boost” shoe. Either way, I’m a fan of the kicks he has put out and look forward to seeing what comes next.
