What A Night: An Epic Experience At The $uicideboy$ Concert
This past Sunday, August 11th, was an epic night as I had an incredible time going to the $uicideboy$ concert, and it exceeded every expectation from the last time they were in Tampa. The crew added some new elements on the production side that really made their performance enjoyable to me and the fans. Not only was I lucky enough to get tickets to the sold-out show, but I also got a little exclusive behind the scenes experience that was cool as well.
Arriving at the venue, the energy was already on 10. Fans were decked out in black and G59 merch, amped up anticipating the high energy performance that $uicideboy$ are known for. But my night got even cooler, I was given access to the backstage area, thanks to some old friends who manage the artists. Thanks to Bill and Dana, 2 guys I worked very closely with back in my earlier days in Connecticut when I tour DJ’d for rapper Chris Webby. This rare access gave a glimpse into the world behind the boys’ music and touring operations, it allowed me to experience the concert from an entirely different perspective.
Hanging out backstage is always an experience for me. I’ve been fortunate to hang backstage at quite a few concerts over the years. The G59 atmosphere was a mix of organized chaos and focused preparation as the artists and crew put the final touches on the show. I had the chance to meet one half of the $uicideboy$, $crim, and was cool as hell and down to earth dude. It was a bit surprising since their music is intense. Sharing a few laughs and talking about his journey in the music industry, how he originally wanted to be a radio DJ in his hometown in New Orleans, was a highlight of the night. It’s not every day you get to interact with artists whose work you are personally a fan of.
Connecting with friends who manage the group added more to the great experience too. Bill & Dana’s passion and dedication showed in every detail of the show, and it was clear how much effort goes into making these shows as epic as they are.
The concert itself was a fire, with $uicideboy$ never disappointing, giving a high energy performance that left everyone in the crowd hyped singing along to every song. From the hard-hitting beats to the raw lyrics, every moment was a compliment to their unique sound and stage presence.
Overall, meeting the artists, hanging with friends in the industry, and witnessing an epic show made the night one to remember. So, make sure next time the boys are in town don’t miss out because they will be back, Tampa is one of their top tour stops.
